毛姆奖

毛姆奖，该奖是由威廉·萨默塞特·毛姆于1947年设立，以他的名字作为奖的称呼，并于当年颁发了第一届毛姆奖。毛姆奖颁发给最出色的作家，或者是在过去的一年出版过一本书的35岁以下的作家。该奖的奖金是为获奖者在国外旅行用的。该基金每年总额为1.2万英镑。

从1964年之后，该奖经常同时颁给多位作家。1975年，该奖项空缺。这个奖曾经颁给过两对父子：Kingsley Amis(1955) Martin Amis(1974)和 Nigel Kneale(1950) Matthew Kneale(1988)。
