《来吧，甜蜜的死亡》原名为《Komm,süsser Tod》（德语），是EVA剧场版《The End of Evangelion》的插曲，是剧中第三次冲击时全体人类肉体LCL化，回归到Lilith（第二使徒）时的配乐。

《来吧，甜蜜的死亡》后段插入摇滚现场和演唱会般的音效，欢快的节奏与极度悲哀的气氛形成强烈对比，使人受到巨大的心理冲击。

《来吧，甜蜜的死亡》的歌名来自巴赫的一首声乐作品——《Komm,süsser Tod,komm,sel'ge Ruh!》，不过一般简称为“Komm,süsser Tod”。这首“Komm,süsser Tod”曾被斯托科夫斯基改编管弦乐。

歌词原以日文写出，再译为英文唱出。英文歌词比较隐晦，日文歌词则直接显示出真嗣的心境：不愿再与人心接触、不愿再喜欢任何人、不愿再伤害任何人、希望回归无有。

因为第三次冲击发生了，所有的心之壁溃决，所以不必再去提防任何人、不会再伤害到任何人，不再有生老病死，也没有时间空间了。
