卢旺达语(英语:Kinyarwanda / 卢旺达语:Ikinyarwanda),属于尼日尔-科尔多凡语系尼日尔-刚果语族贝努埃-刚果语支,是班图语系的一种语言。大约有700万的使用人口,主要居住在卢旺达。
使用范围
卢旺达语的主要使用区域为卢旺达,卢旺达语在卢旺达是官方语言之一,与英语、法语并列。同时,在乌干达和民主刚果,卢旺达语也与英语、法语并列为官方语言。此外,在坦桑尼亚和布隆迪,卢旺达语与当地的基隆迪语十分相近,有一定的使用基础。
卢旺达语使用拉丁字母书写。其书写系统于20世纪40年代正式确立。
卢旺达自1940年以来一直在使用一个标准化的拼写系统,但因罗马天主教和新教的任务使用拼写而有所不同。
