谢作伟

谢作伟，1964年1月出生于浙江省苍南县，金属有机化学家，现任香港中文大学理学院院长、卓敏化学讲座教授。

1983年毕业于杭州大学（现浙江大学）化学系，1986年获中国科学院上海有机化学研究所硕士学位，1990年于该所获博士学位（与德国柏林工业大学联合培养）。其后，他受聘为上海有机化学研究所助理研究员，并前赴南加州大学担任博士后研究员。谢教授于1995年加入香港中文大学，由2006年起为化学讲座教授，并于2013年起至今担任卓敏化学讲座教授。2017年当选为中国科学院院士。

谢作伟教授研究领域为d- 和 f- 族过度金属有机化学、硼笼、碳硼烷和金属碳硼烷化学、均相催化、小分子活化和聚合物合成化学。曾获国家自然科学奖二等奖、中国化学会黄耀曾金属有机化学奖、香港裘槎基金会优秀学者奖等。

每年在有机所招收从事高分子和金属有机化学研究的学生各1名。

谢作伟主要从事碳硼烷、超级碳硼烷wán、金属碳硼烷及硼化学的研究。提出并发展了过渡金属催化的碳硼烷选择性官能团化的系列方法，揭示了过渡金属和碳硼烷笼原子间的成键特征和反应规律。提出合成超级碳硼烷的理念，并建立了其制备方法，率先研究了超级碳硼烷化学。
