珀尔·贝利

珀尔·贝利，美国黑人歌唱家、电影女演员，1918年3月29日生于弗吉尼亚州纽波特纽斯。十五岁的时候就已经开始了她的表演生涯。曾经在一次业余比赛中获奖，当过舞蹈演员，跟着许多乐队巡回跳舞唱歌，1946年她第一次在百老汇上演音乐剧《圣路易斯妇女》，获得最有前途的新人奖。六十年代，由于主演百老汇黑人戏剧《喂，多利!》获得托尼奖，她以爵士歌唱演员著称，只偶尔在电影中演出。1971年，她主持过她自己的电视节目。1975年宣布退出舞台，并被任命为美国联合国代表，她的自传《不完美的珀尔》于1968年出版。
