早年经历

家庭背景
雪莉·贝西，原名雪莉·维罗妮卡·贝西。父亲亨利·贝西是尼日利亚人，母亲伊丽莎·简·斯塔特是英国人，雪莉的四个姐妹中最小的一个。贝西一家四个孩子中的两个是母亲斯塔特与前夫Alfred Metcalfe的，据说在斯塔特与亨利·贝西结婚时该婚姻仍然具有法律约束力。
