后街男孩花了一年半的时间来录制《Unbreakable》这张专辑。这张全新专辑再次诠释了他们对流行节拍的定义，对这次回归男孩们充满信心。专辑第一主打单曲“Inconsolable”由曾为Nick Lachey，Celine Dion，Katharine McPhee制作音乐的Emanuel Kiriakou制作，是一首由钢琴为主伴奏的中拍情歌，使人回忆起后街男孩许多经典情歌。9月歌曲率先开始推出，成为各国流行电台的热播歌曲，在我国的中国国际广播电台 Hit FM的Top 20单曲榜上也取得冠军。

2007年在后街男孩作为一个组合的历程中注定将具有特殊的意义。随着2006年乐团初创成员Kevin Richardson因个人原因决定暂时离队,Backstreet Boys在2007年第一次以四人组合的形式出现在乐迷面前，Nick Carter，Howie Dorough，Brian Littrell，AJ McLean，他们并没有为Kevin寻找一位替代者，而是将永远保留这个位置，虚位以待Kevin的回归。而2007年又恰逢后街男孩在美国本土发行首张专辑的十周年纪念。在这样一个特殊时刻，Backstreet Boys在10月30日推出全新专辑，这是后街男孩的第六张大碟，同时也是后街男孩第一张在没有Kevin加入的情况下录制的专辑。
